For today's card, I used a Dreamweaver stencil to create the background. Using post it notes, I masked off the individual squares, inked them up in the different colors in the Sugar Pea Design Challenge and then splattered it with water to distress.
supplies used: Sugar Pea Designs (Caring Critters), Dreamweaver Stencils, Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Circle Die, Distress Ink, Spectrum Noir markers
I recently picked up this Home Sweet Home die set from My Favorite Things and couldn't wait to start building a scene with it. Lots of tiny pieces but so much fun!!!
supplies used: My Favorite Things Home Sweet Home Die Set & The Whole Herd Stamp Set ("home"), Some Odd Girl Every Day Smile stamp set, Crafters Companion heart dies, pattern paper, white embossing powder, vellum
This month's Poppy Stamp challenge is GIFT so I made a birthday tag. This time I used the otter stamps as otters instead of ferrets, LOL!
I created the background on the tag with gelatos and oil pastels. I embossed the waves in white EP on the tag and also on a piece of vellum. To create a bit more texture and color I added dots of nail polish. I wasn't sure how they would work. They're not quite as high as enamel dots but they look pretty cool in person.
Tried something a bit different today. I've seen so many people photographing their cards flat and overhead so I gave it a try. Ehhh, I'm not sure. Reminds me a bit of the old days where we used to scan our layouts in and then stitch them together, LOL!
