happy hauntings...

I love those animal skeleton Halloween decorations that are so popular in the stores right now, so I've been playing with some of my stamp sets and converting ordinary animal stamps into Halloween themed skeleton stamps. I'll have a tutorial in an upcoming blog post.

I used Sugar Pea Designs Caring Critters set for the dog today. The "happy" sentiment was also from the same set. The "hauntings" sentiment and the spider are from Stampendous Halloween Haunts stamp set.

I stamped the dog three times, and cut his head and legs out so that I could stack the pieces and give him some depth.

Heartfelt Thanks

I used the sketch and inspiration colors from SPD Mix It Up challenge #35

I inked the card base with a Dreamweavers stencil. Next I created a shaker card and filled it with sequins, paper dots and beads. Those heart sequins are a oldie but goodie from Doodlebug. Glad to sequins are popular again and I can finally use them up.

Go boldly....

This week's Simon Says Stamps challenge was ATC's.  I don't usually anything other than cards or layouts, but this size is a fun way to play with techniques!

Camp Create 2017

I've been on a bit of a creative vacation, but I'm back! I came across MFT's Camp Create 2017 and it was just what I needed to kick start that mojo!

I inked the cow print background with a Clear Scraps stencil. I used MFT's The Whole Herd for the stamped cow and sentiment.

Next up was creative masking. I used the trough from The Whole Herd and the flowers from Blissful Blooms to mask a flower container for my card.

For my last card, I created a inlaid background using a Crafters Companion background die and used a Out On a Limb Pure Innocence stamp.
